One day hysterectomy is becoming popular because of significant patient benefit, safety, patient preference and cost effective procedure. It is popularly known as minimally invasive vaginal hysterectomy, an innovation in the traditional non-descent vaginal surgery. Principally the technique that is used to use vessel seal clamps, which by computerized means calculates the amount ,strength and duration of current required for tissue held. This enables complete vaporization sealing of vessels and tissue without lateral thermal tissue damage . So need of suture is obviated and there is no chance of charring , sloughing, and secondary haemorrhage. This is the need of time. The technique provides scarless, sutureless, painless and bloodless surgery. working on the bottom-line ‘one-day’ to offer less stay at the hospital with less anaesthesia and tissue trauma. even big fibriods up to 20 weeks can be removed. This surgery can be done even after any previous abdominal surgery . More than half a million hysterectomies occur per year. It is significant cost to healthcare system.By age 60 one in three women have undergone removal of uterus.Majority for benign indications like fibroids, bleeding ,endometriosis ,pelvic pain. It is a latest and good procedure.Develop new criteria for selecting patients. Think of utilizing new technology and instrumentations for the benefit of patients.
